design a diamond lamp that changes color when you tilt it
difficulty: medium
duration: 1 hour

make your own diamond tilt lamp!

materials needed:
1. diamond RGB LED board
2. battery board
3. coincell
4. tilt sensor
5. aligator clip
6. chipboard
7. cardboard

step 1
Take the cardboard, draw out your desirable size. Cut two pieces for the front and back.

step 2
Build your circuit! Understand how it works before assembling them with the cardboard. Follow the diagram for visual reference.

step 3
Take one diamond shape cardboard. Position where you want the LED board to be on the surface. Make registration marks on the cardboard to decide where the circuit will go through.Cut out the holes.

step 4
decorate your diamond light
Get creative! Print the graphics on your computer and attach it to the cardboard, or make your own design!

step 5
Secure the LED board at the front and flip to the back. Place the battery board in the middle and glue it.

step 6
Place and glue the tilt sensors on both sides. Use conductive tapes to replace alligator clips and refer to step 2 for circuit construction.

step 7
observe and check how does the tilt sensor works

step 8
Take out the chipboard. Cut 2.5~3 inches width stripes. Glue them along the edge of your diamond-shape cardboard. Connect as many stripes as needed, depends on how big your diamond shape is.

Glue the other diamond-shape cardboard to the back. You are done! Try tilt your lamp and see how the color changes
